About Southland College
Southland College began in 1988 as the Institute of Christian Tertiary Education (ICTE). Its establishment was in response to the needs of teachers in Christian Schools for postgraduate study from a Christian worldview. In 2004 the ICTE changed its name to Southland College and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Morling College, and it is now the Higher Education Provider through which the postgraduate courses are accredited. Our offices are located on the leafy campus of Morling College in Macquarie Park, Sydney.
Our postgraduate degrees and diplomas are accredited through the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities (DEC). In addition, the Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) and Master of Teaching (Secondary) are Approved Programs of Initial Teacher Education listed on the NSW Institute of Teachers website under the name of Morling College.
