Principal
Pam is passionate about Christian education and over the years has helped numerous teachers and pre-service teachers to develop a sound philosophy and practice of Christian education. She has been involved in Christian education for over thirty years having worked in Australia with Christian Community Schools, the Institute of Tertiary Education and Wesley Institute. From 2009 to 2011 she taught both undergraduate and postgraduate education courses in a Christian university near Jakarta, Indonesia. Her doctoral thesis investigated the motivations of teachers in Christian schools to engage in postgraduate study. |

Dr Edwin J Boyce, OAM, BA, MEd [Syd], PhD [Alberta], MACE , MACEL.
President and Founder of Southland College
Ted has always enjoyed his role as a teacher in schools, churches and universities. This teaching role included his experience as a university lecturer at Macquarie University, the University of Sydney and the University of Western Sydney as well as in Canada. Ted was a visiting scholar and professor at Regent College, Vancouver, for 13 months in 1983/84. Since 1985 Ted has been Principal of Pacific Hills Christian School, Dural in the northern suburbs of Sydney, and is currently also Executive Principal of Pacific Coast Christian School and Pacific Valley Christian School on the far north coast of New South Wales. Ted has also been involved in Southland College since its inception, first as Principal/Lecturer and then as Principal, and for the past decade, as President. He believes that God and His Word should form the basis of Christian educational thinking and practice and that Christian education should be distinctive as a representation of the grace and truth of God. |

Rev Robert J Frisken, AM, CertTeach [Newcastle], BA [UNE], BD (Hons) [MCD], MACE
Founding President of Southland College
Bob has had a long involvement with Christian schooling having been a geography teacher and the inaugural principal of the first Christian Community School, at Regents Park, Sydney. Bob has written numerous papers and articles on Christian schooling and he is passionate about the role of community in education. He has lectured extensively in Australia and overseas on the theory and practice of Christian education. He was awarded the Order of Australia in 2002 for his service to Christian schooling and was also recognized in 2003 with the award of the Centenary of Federation Medal. Bob is the President of New Hope International Limited – a company that sponsors a network of Christian schools in Australia and overseas. |

Dr Stephen Fyson , BA(Hons), MHPEd, DipCS (post grad), PhD, MACE, MAPS.
Stephen has worked in the helping and teaching professions for over 30 years. He has had the privilege of combining his research into how people relate interpersonally, and what that looks like within community, with his work throughout this time. For the last 25 years, Stephen’s focus has been in Christian schooling. He has pursued the themes of belonging, engagement, respect, and the balance of justice and mercy as worship in this context. This has been done with an eye to consider the impact that these relational dynamics have on teaching and learning from a Biblical understanding. |

Brian Harris, BSocsc., BTh., BTh.(Hons), MTh., PhD
Brian has pastored churches in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, and has also been involved in theological education in each of these countries. He is currently the principal of Vose Seminary, in Perth Australia, and simultaneously serves as the Senior Pastor of Carey Community Baptist Church, the founding church of Carey Baptist College, a K-12 school of over 1200 pupils. Brian has served on the board of several Christian schools and currently serves on the Western Australian and National Council of Christian Schools Australia. Brian is in demand as a speaker and teacher. His PhD has been published by Mellen Press, and he has written numerous articles in both scholarly and popular journals, and well as contributing chapters to several books. He is currently writing a book on Quiet Leadership which is due for publication by Paternoster Press in 2013. |

Mr Greg Holmes, BTh, MEdStud.
Greg has been a teacher and leader in Christian schools for many years. His area of specialization was Biblical Studies. He is passionate about students coming to a proper theological understanding of the Bible. He has been involved in Southland College as a lecturer of the Biblical Foundations Course unit, Old Testament and has recently taken up the role of the Biblical Foundations Course Unit, New Testament lecturer too. He is also teaching in the Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) program equipping pre-service teachers to become Christian thinkers and educators. |

Graham Irvine, BA, DipTch, MEd
Graham has had a long association with Christian Education having completed his high school years at a Christian high school then completed his teaching degree at Avondale College in NSW. He began teaching at a high school level and worked his way down into the primary school environment where he became Principal of Regent College in Western Australia for 13 years. Now on staff at Riverview Church overseeing their educational and family programs, Graham maintains his involvement with Christian education through his roles as Board Chairperson at Thornlie Christian College and his position on Western Australia’s CSA state council. He is currently also studying towards his M.Div. |

Mr Craig Murison, Adv Dip C Min & Bib Stud, Dip Teach, BEd (Dist), MLearnMgmt, D Prof (Trans St), OM (AOG), MACEL, MQIEA, AFAIM, MACE, MAICD,
Dr Craig Murison is the Founding Principal of Mackay Christian College and has seen the College grow from 17 students in 1984 to over 1000 students. Craig has maintained a focus on creating a true learning organisation, moving towards the achievement of a clearly articulated vision with a strong organisational culture founded on common values. He has completed a Masters of Learning Management and a Professional Doctorate, has spoken at numerous conferences on a variety of leadership issues, co-authored four-values based coaching manuals as well as other peer-reviewed published articles. Craig has been a member of a number of Independent School, State Government and Christian School Committees. Craig’s doctoral thesis is titled ’Developing and Identifying the value of care in Adolescents’. |

Mr Ian O’Harae, BA, DipEd, MEdStud, (PhDCandidate, UNE), MACE, AMACEL.
Ian has had over 20 year’s involvement with Christian schools, including six years as a Principal. Ian has also served as the pastor of a Baptist church in Sydney. His PhD research explored the influence that the theological beliefs of principals have on their educational leadership practices in Australian Christian schools. For over 10 years he has been a lecturer with Southland College coordinating their courses in leadership, management and research. Ian has also been involved in educational consultancies as well as lecturing in leadership and management in New Zealand, Uganda, Vanuatu, Indonesia, India and Nepal. Ian now serves on the faculty of Morling College as Dean for Academic and Regional Development. |

Kathy Foster, DipTeach,BEd, MED
Kathy completed her Master of Education (Special Education) degree at Sydney University in 2003. She has worked for over 20 years in the roles of a General Primary teacher and Support Teacher Learning Assistance in both Primary and High School.
Kathy has also held an executive position in the Special Education area where she worked alongside health professionals. Kathy has worked in both State and Private Schools. Recently she has been a casual teacher at Inaburra and Sutherland Shire Christian School. Kathy also teaches scripture and in 2010 was awarded a Preliminary Theological Certificate from the Department of External Studies Moore Theological College.
Kathy attends Gymea Baptist Church along with her husband and son. |
